Cleans the air you breathe
Using their own built in water feed system and a little sun, all our living wall units use the natural process of photosynthesis to help purify the air. The mosses and plants absorb a huge range of pollutants, greenhouse gasses and even dust and converts it into clean breathable oxygen and sugar - the sugar combines with minerals which help the plants grow and the oxygen is released into the air and helps us breathe...
Cools the air around you
Rising temperatures are a major problem in City Centres, by adding more green life to these areas we can alleviate the problem. Both our Moss and Sedums products can store huge amounts of water within the plants and this evaporates moisture in the air around them and noticeably cools the air. Multiple MOSSAIR® and SEDUMAIR® wall units create air that's both cleaner and cooler and can alter their local environment.
Cost effective solution
CLEANCITYAIR® Living walls provide a simple, easy to install and very cost effective solution to cleaning the environment around us. Due to its simplistic modular and compact design the wall units are relatively cheap to build and install. Each unit, measuring 1m x 2m, runs on a low 12V power supply which is only needed up to 60 mins per day. The units can also be powered by solar energy, given the correct environment. Maintenance is also minimal as all our units are self regulating and only need checking quarterly.
Sustainable living panels
Each of our living wall units are installed with fully replaceable living plant filter panels, as plants grow they collect and store carbon, either in the soil or in the peat that it creates beneath it. All our living plant panels can be removed, with old plants being replaced with new fresh plants every 2/3 years. Each unit is also built using CE approved components which can all be individually removed and replaced with ease, helping keep down any required maintenance time and parts costs.
MODERN DESIGN
Our living wall units are designed with a minimalist modern theme in mind. Each unit is built within a plastisol coated Steel frame which, as well as being both modern looking and strong, the unit is fully rustproof and built to be fully recyclable. Each unit is available in a range of 23 colours.
WATER STORAGE SYSTEM
Our units use a built in water feed system which can pull in and make use of rain water as well as recycling its own water storage supply which is hidden in the base of the frame. The system is designed to run itself for long periods of time, only needing occasional water top up at the peak of summer heat.
BUILT IN LIGHTINGļ»æ
Each unit has a hidden 5 meter strip of low voltage weatherproof LED's that runs around under the whole edge of the front frame. The lighting turns on automatically at night and there are 9 different colours to choose from. It looks truly spectacular at night with the plants glowing in a range of mood creating colours.
CAPILLARY STORAGE
Each unit has a specially formulated capillary matting which not only holds and stores moisture but also works as a wick to pull water from the storage unit when the pump is not needed, Each replaceable plant panel also has a built in layer of the matting to add to the overall water storage and even distribution capabilities.
MICRO IRRIGATION SYSTEM
Every unit is fitted with its own built in, micro chip controlled, micro irrigation feed system. It has built in sensors that tell the system when the plants need feeding, supplying the correct amount of water and nutrients as and when required. When needed it can also add water from any external supply, automatically topping up its own internal water storage tank.
AIR FILTER SYSTEM
Utilising hidden air pumps, each unit pulls in air from the top end of the unit. This air is then silently pumped down and through the plants growing within living filter panels. Filtering out pollutants, using this method the units increase their efficiency and lower air pollution levels whilst creating fresh clean oxygen. This design creates clean-air zones behind the units.
